I love movies! Especially really good ones. I like to rate movies. I’m no one special, just a person who likes a good a story. Now as part of my title says, I’m the worst to watch a movie with. Why? I want a movie that has a good story and real characters. When a movie lacks in ether it isn’t that good and I complain… a lot.
I’m not saying that I expect to know all the characters life stories but I want a character that I can connect to. Not relate to nessarally, because we are not going to relate to all characters… I’m never going know what it is like to be a leader of a rebellion or a dino expert. I want characters that I can care about. I can care about Sarah Connor from Terminator and Jugement Day. I traveled with her through her journey and I want to see her servive. For example, in Jurassic World I had a hard time connecting to character and I didn’t really care of anyone died.
A story line doesn’t have to be a complex. Cinderella is a simple but good story. An overcomplex story can make hard to follow or just too much (two 2016 summer D.C. movies are great examples). A story that has plot holes are the worst in my book. I hate them and they destroy some of the best movies.
Wirh alk that being said, I find the plot hole and dead characters in the movies that I watch. When I watch movie a give it a rating. My ratings: 50% goes to good charecters(even a bad story can be rescued by good characters) 40% to story and 10% effects(bad effects can take you out of a movie).
Am I reading into movies too much? What’s your favorite movie?
